As Leader of the Parents Committee Mrs Wentworth had lots to say about the forthcoming Troop Show.The Wentworth Family were Scouting in the County Mr.Wentworth being the DC and the Wentworth Children being the 'backbone of the 'Wolf Cubs','Boy Scouts' and 'Girl Guides'.Kevin in the 'Wolf Cubs',Brian and Robert in the 'Boy Scouts',Jamie in the 'Senior Scouts' and Jamies twin sister Judith who was a Patrol Leader in the Girl Guides.Judith was responsible for teaching the Boy Scouts in the Gang Show the various dances and dance routines that were required for the Troop Show,these included 'Ballet Steps' and 'Moves' for the Junior Boy Scout "Ballerinas" and 'High Kicking Steps' for the "Chorus Girls".Skip was not looking forward to what he considered 'A Mothers Meeting'! Mrs Wentworth was always 'Chairman' infact if nobody else turned up Mrs Wentworth would be more than happy to 'Chair Herself'.The Wentworth Twins were subject of some 'Speculation' in the District particularly when representing their particular branches of 'The Movement'.Perhaps the best way of explaining this is to say that at the 'Senior Scout' Christmas Party in 1956 when a number of Girl Guides were invited to attend, Judith and Jamie exchanged their Uniforms as there contribution to the 'fancy dress' family theme.Judith became a 'Tough "Senior Scout" used to hiking and looking after "Himself" and Jamie became a 'Very Sweet Young "Girl Guide" who's only concerns were wild flowers and to see that "Her" Nylons were strait !! Had they been allowed to remain in that state people would have said "things are as they should be".Mrs Wentworths pressing concerns was not only the 'Troop Show' and making sure that the Wentworth 'Boys' had all the main parts but that Jamie was getting to an age in the Movement when he might become a Rover Scout,with all the adult activity that could be involved !?
