I did this in my last Gang Show and I've been searching for it for a while in case we need it in future. I've looked everywhere for it but I've had no luck. Are any of you familiar with a sketch/musical point number called Never Count Your Chicks? If I remember rightly it involved a gang of scruffs and a gang of posh kids and the lyrics:

"Never count your chicks before they hatch
Never count your fish before you've made a catch."

There is a piece called 'Chicken' in the list of what is called 'suitable material for Gang Shows' published by the Scout Association.There are about 600 pieces on this list all written by a range of people plus another list of material by Ralph Reader.I have looked in the lists of pieces to be found in the 'Music and Rare Manuscripts' in the British Library in Central London.If as you say you sang it in a particular Gang Show could you not ask the Producer where he got it from ?
