The 'Court of Honour' had not gone well.There was an atmosphere that you could cut with a knife and use to build a gigantic Camp Fire.The mood of the meeting was that Skip should 'take charge' as he had done with Troop Shows or with the Troops contribution to The Group Show.The points problem for the PL's was still not 'sorted out',infact since the 'Punching' followed by the 'Tanning' and the loss of a Patrol Stripe,Skip didn't quite look forward to Friday nights with the 'erbs' as much as he once did.As the 'lads' had settled down in their Patrols and Philips a 'handy Rover Scout' who 'popped up' now and again to be of 'Service' was casting a 'weathered eye' over the Scouts from a chair placed on the Huts Stage.Skip and Eagle Eye had slipped into Skips Den.The Duty Patrol were the Bulls and Conley their Second had arrived with two Mugs of lukewarm tea.EE had brought three small cakes made by his 'Mum' which always sold well at any 'Boy Scout Teas' of 'Boy Scout Fete's'.Skip was putting his feet up.The two 'Scouters' had started wearing plimsolls to encourage the 'lads' to change before 'Games'.Some boys changed into Gym Kit.The GSM had 'yarned' to the boys about 'Boy Scout Belts' as 'lethal' although he had included John Sweets idea of making a Scout remove his belt before joining in a 'Vigorous Game' of British Bulldog !! The extra cake was for the GSM who wanted to know what was happening with the Gang Show business.There was a bang on the Den door and EE called out "Go away unless you are dying" and the door opened and three 'familier faces;bodies attached' stood there.The faces belonged to 'Three Grinning Seniors'."Hello Skipper Remember Us......?"
