On August 16 1973 I attended one of the first performances of the 'Rocky Horror Show' at the soon to be demolished 'Classic Cinema' in King Road Chelsea here in london.Although it had been a Cinema it was passing it's final few days as 'Home' to a new type of 'Stage Show' for the Professional Theatre.As soon as we got inside 'The Classic' I knew just where we were; we were at 'A Gang Show' The cast in Costume were already mixing with the audience sitting in peoples places, eating Peoples Sweets etc all very 'Gang Show' of the 1960's and 1970's.The Show was fantastic full of 'Great Music','Songs','Cross Dressing',Colour,Energy infact the Scouts were anxious to include it in their next 'Troop Show'.This was the year before the last 'London Gang Show' (1974) and there were a lot of ideas about what might included in future Shows.The Shows Producers were giving away sheets with instructions on how to do 'The Time Warp' and I knew that what has become 'The Worlds' most popular 'Rock and Roll' Musical would find a Home in Gang Show although it did take nearly thirty years !!
