Dear Gang Show,
I was racking my brain for the lyrics to an old song we sang while
Boy Scouts here in Chicago.
We had a "Scout Show" each year and we sang some great old songs.
I remembered that our scoutmaster once told me that the songs were
originally sung in what he called the "Gang Show".
I was happily surprised to find this forum when I looked up the lyrics online.
We apparently borrowed "several" (all) of our songs from your productions.
"Riding Along on the Crest of the Wave", became an anthem for our
scout troop. We sang it while hiking through forests and while paddling
canoes.
My personal favorite has always been, "The Good Old Days."
I remember enjoying the melody while singing it at age 13 and
the lyrics mean much more to me, now, at age 50.
Where can I get copies of these and other "Gang Show" songs?
